This Wednesday, April 25th, is the last STEAM Club of the year. As is our tradition, we will finish up with STOMP rockets.
A STEAM Club favorite, we will build rockets out of paper and a little tape before going outside to launch them from our custom-made launchers. Many, many rockets have been lost after their amazing flights. I wouldn't be surprised if they blow off the roofs of Canyon View well into next school year.
In addition to this being the last STEAM Club of the year, this is my last STEAM Club as your facilitator. It has been an absolute pleasure to see the kids of Canyon View dive into the projects we have done together and I can't thank the parent volunteers enough to have come month after month to help make the events successful. Even as my child transitions to middle school, I'm excited about the new directions that STEAM Club will go next year.
Thank you to all the parents for encouraging your kids to get involved with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. The problem solving and project-based learning we have done together will benefit our kids in any field they take up later in life.
